Based on the Best Sci-fi Movies Netflix February 2014, it looks like Netflix is either holding back on adding anything for us sci-fi addicts, or are preparing to give us the goods later in the month. For now, it might be better to go back and hit up some of the Must See Foreign Sci-Fi Movies on Netflix Streaming. If you want to see the last of the original crew of the Enterprise make one last attempt at exploring strange new worlds, then this movie is for you. If you want to see them kick ass, then go and rewatch Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Plot Synopsis:

Captain Kirk (William Shatner) leads his crew on a mission to free kidnapped diplomats. Arriving at the planet Nimbus III, Kirk and crew come face-to-face with the captor: a smiling Vulcan named Sybok (Laurence Luckinbill) who's Mr. Spock's half-brother. Obsessively searching for God, Sybok hijacks the Enterprise and sets a course for the center of the galaxy. The film marks Shatner's directorial debut.

I know, it's not fiction, but this is a great documentary that covers the history of the space shuttle and is well worth a watch for anybody interested in space travel.

On the occasion of the space shuttle Discovery's final flight, this documentary chronicles her epic story. After flying more than 148 million miles, the shuttle's trip to Washington's Air and Space Museum proves just as inspiring.
